The 3rd London East Asia Film Festival presents the 4K restoration of Director Edward Yang’s A Brighter Summer Day as a part of the strand, Cinematic Journey Through Taiwan.
Synopsis
Based on a true story, the film depicts a conflict between two rival youth gangs in Taiwan in the early sixties. It shows how the innocence of children can be brutally taken away and replaced by misconduct, whilst trying by all means to remain a child.
