Although it is very far away, it is always nice to read that the Vancouver Taiwanese Film Festival (VTWFF) takes place again.
VTWFF is an annual non-profit art and culture initiative started in 2007. It has been well-received by the Vancouver communities, and over the years, has become the largest film festival focusing on Taiwanese cinema in North America.
Over the past 17 years, VTWFF has presented more than 100 Taiwanese films and invited many filmmakers and directors to Vancouver.
This year’s theme, Perception and Reality—Through Taiwan’s Lens, explores the dynamic interplay between what we see and what truly exists, offering audiences a profound reflection on identity, culture, and societal nuances through the artistry of Taiwanese filmmakers. Experience compelling stories, thought-provoking narratives, and unique perspectives that push the boundaries of visual storytelling. Don’t miss this vibrant celebration of Taiwanese cinema! Join us for a virtual festival featuring curated films that celebrate the richness and diversity of Taiwanese culture
