Film: The Great Buddha+

The Great Buddha+

“Life of the rich is so colorful! The rest of us can only applaud and praise ‘wonderful!’”

Pickle, a night security guard of a Buddha statue factory and his friend, Belly Button, a recyclables collector, become entangled in a web of dark secrets after stumbling upon dash-cam recordings that document the promiscuous meetings of the factory's wealthy owner.

The Great Buddha+ is shot in black and white, with the only exception of the dash-cam recordings, taking Pickle, Belly Button, and the viewer from the colourless existence of the poor and forgotten to the illuminated world of the powerful. Highly stylized and full of humour, The Great Buddha+ is one of a kind.
